Help me add to my reading list?

I just started a new page, The Healing Reading List, and I would very much appreciate suggestions of things I should add to it. I started with a few things on spirituality and yoga, but I welcome all suggestions: novels, healthy cooking, funny stories… whatever helps you on your path to healing.

  1. Becca, thank you so much for visiting my blog so I could find my way back to yours. I think it’s wonderful that you are working so hard to overcome the aftermath of childhood abuse. We have no other option if we want to heal. You’re asking for suggestions for reading–and so, I’m going to suggest my soon-to-be-released memoir about my own childhood sexual abuse and the aftermath from that. I am still on my healing journey, but I hope my story will give other survivors the courage to find their own voice. Here is the link to my blog page telling about my book. https://healingbeyondsurvival.wordpress.com/secrets-in-big-sky-country-a-memoir/

  2. As promised, here are three books that I would highly recommend. I have written blog posts on the first two, I am still currently reading the third.

Strong at the broken places- Linda T. Sanford

How we heal and grow- The Power of facing your feelings- Jeffrey Smith M.D

The body keeps the score; Mind, Brain and Body in the Transformation of Trauma-
    Bessel Van Der Kolk

I think that Pema Chodron’s “When Things fall apart” is also a book of healing and growth

    Hope this helps
